Yo wassup! It's Tube Tuesday and I'm doing another reaction.
Finally Brave Girls are back and I feel like this is the only appropriate response
I have tweeted about wanting them to come back since 2011 and
FINALLY MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN HEARD
#sorrynotsorry
Okay really now. I'm kind of a really shy person and the song isn't really a party song so it's not very obvious in the video but I'M REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THIS COMEBACK! While editing and waiting for the upload to finish I had the song on repeat and by now I can sing along to most of it. I'm really enjoying this comeback and I really hope the girls will be successful and not hide again after this.
As mentioned in the video, I checked the live performance and I'm really impressed. The new members did great, they really match Hyeran and Yoojin in my opinion and I really feel Bravesound found good replacements for the members who left.
So what do you think about the song, video, new members?
Hello people of the interwebs. It's sunday at that means it's recap time. I didn't manage it the last few weeks but it's back and going to last (hopefully^^)
This week a few countries including Korea celebrated the Lunar New Year and as it's a huge holiday no one was really in the mood for promotions and/or comebacks, instead there were many variety shows like "My boss is watching" and ISAC where idol groups competed against each other in various games and sports.
My favorite release of this week is not a real comeback actually, it's Mamamoo's pre-release 1CM의 자존심 for their upcoming album. It's a hilarious track where the members diss each other for being short and it's gold!
A few bands have hinted at or released information for their comebacks/debuts, including Astro, Spica, Fiestarand Wonder Girls. Out of these I'm looking forward to Spica the most because they've been gone for a long time and I have seriously missed their voices!
Not too long ago, f(x) finally got a fan club name after 7 years and rookies April and Seventeen got theirs this last week as well. In case you don't know, the fan name for April is Fineapple, a combination of fine (meaning good) and apple (short for April). The name for Seventeen fans is Carat, most likely referring to their debut album 17 Carat.
Unless you live under a rock, you know that today is Valentine's Day and of course many idols have tweeted about it. This day is the first of many love/romance related days that are coming up on the 14th of each month. In Japan and many Asian countries girls give their love interest chocolate on valentine's day and a month later on White Day, the boys will give gifts in return. So if you didnn't get anything today, you may have to wait until March 14^^
Last but not least, here are some idols who have had their birthdays in the last 7 days:
Welcome to the first edition of Fan Friday. This is where we post and talk about some fan created content. This might be covers, paintings, cosplays, remixes, just as long as it was made by fans.
For the first post I had originally thought about dance covers but then I stumbled upon this amazing fan art and I couldn't resist.
I checked his youtube and I'm just.....I mean look at this, this is incredible!
I don't know why there aren't a lot more views on Alex' videos when he is doing such a good job at digital art. I am just beginning to try my hand at digital art and I was hoping speed paintings and just videos of digital painting might help me but this is way out of my league. Maybe in a hundred years.
Anyways, do check out more of Alex' work on his deviantART and youtube accounts and feel free to comment other fan artists and maybe we'll talk about them in the next Fan Friday
Finally, after a very long time I am back with a new video, or I should better say with two new videos.
In these videos I'm showing you my whole K-Pop collection.
If you want a closer look of any item you can tell me in the comments. I can also post a list of all the things I own, again just tell me in the comments. I hope you like the videos and don't forget to subscribe to us for more.
I'm on a roll with these updates, wow. Here's another MV reaction, this time it's the debut of Star Empire's IMFACT.
I don't know anything about this group except that they're the little brothers to ZE:A and 9muses. I do like their sunbaes so I had high hopes but I gotta admit Lollipop did not impress me.
Watch the reaction here and read on for a review of the rest of the album below
The intro to Lollipop is called I'M FACT which I guess is supposed to be a clever wordplay but doesn't really make sense. It's okay for an intro, it sounds similar to Lollipop but more chill.
Rating: 6/10
The title song Lollipop is not my style as mentioned in the reaction. It sounds like when you have 2 tabs with different music open and I can't figure the song out. I don't hate it but I can't listen to it without trying to look for tabs with autoplay..
Rating: 6/10
The next song is called Shine and it's more on the slow side for a pop song but still enjoyable. I can't speak for the lyrics but the vocals are much clearer and the rapper sounds really good in my opinion. It would have been a good title song if it was a bit faster.
Rating: 7/10
The last song on the album is 양아치 which translates to "ganster" or "punk" so I'm guessing it's about a bad boy? I need to look up the lyrics. Either way the sound is nice, music wise it's faster than Shine but it still has a ballad-y feel to it. Overall this is probably my fave song on the album.
Rating: 7.5/10
I'm not sure if it's because I was expecting more from Star Empire but I feel like this album wasn't really put together all that well. Maybe it's supposed to be in this style but I feel like it's just messy, specially Lollipop is so all over the place...I just don't understand. But seeing as I identified most with the teacher in the MV maybe I'm really just old.
This week it's all about Kyra's favorite group BIGSTAR.
Bigstar is a 5 member boy group under Brave Entertainment (a.k.a Bravesound)
Prior to their debut 7 boys were in survival show called "Bigstar Show" where they had to pass missions to become a group member. The 2 members who didn't make it later had their debut in other groups (Yuhwan - SPEED, Hojun - Topp Dogg) The 5 members who made it into Bigstar had their debut on July 12, 2012 with the single album BIGSTART and the title song Hot Boy.
Their latest comeback is the mini album Shine a Moonlight with the title song Fullmoon Shine.
Happy February! Does time fly or is it just me? It's Tuesday and that means video day, who's excited? No one? We'll work on that. Anyways, today I watched the new 4minute MV and did a reaction which you can see below.
I'm also listening to the album on repeat and I'm gonna talk about that a bit.
The first song on the album is the title "싫어"
As I said in the video, it's nice but the chorus doesn't match the rest of the song. I don't know why this is such a big thing in K-Pop at the moment, maybe I'm just weird or getting too old.
Rating: 7.5/10
The second song on the album is "No Love"
It's got more of an old school feel to it, kinda like western 90's girl groups? I like it but it's not my fave song on the album
Rating: 8/10
The third song on the album is "Blind"
This is my favorite song from Act7, it's not really a ballad but it's got a ballad-y style, if that makes sense? The vocals are nice and clear and I'll probably listen to this song a lot in the future.
Rating: 8.5/10
The fourth song on the album is "Canvas"
This one is more of a laid back hip hop style that's not really my thing usually but there's something to it that had it stuck in my head half the day. I really enjoy Hyuna's rap in this, which isn't a given, even tho she's my favorite member there are just some times when her voice is...to much for me.
Rating: 7.5/10
Overall I can say that I like this album but it's not my fave from 4minute. It doesn't seem like they have found their own style yet, or at least this album gives me that feeling. I still enjoy it tho and I'm happy the girls are back.
Today is Thursday and as mentioned last week I'm watching the 2015 boy group debuts video by Soompi to see how many I know, how many I like and if I missed some that I want to check out.
Unlike last week I didn't count the groups I know in the video because it would just confuse everyone if the list here is different. If you haven't seen the video...that's okay, I have you covered^^ I'm listing the groups I like/know/will check below, feel free to comment your lists as well
Welcome to the first Tube Tuesday! The first video is kind of a reaction video but not really? Kyra is looking at the 2015 girl group debuts to see how many she knows and likes. The list is compiled by Soompi (as they have done in the previous years) I'm surprised how they even manage to keep up with the debuts when most of us haven't even heard of the groups.
In the video I'm counting how many groups I know and how many I like, gotta say I've been pretty generous with that. While I do like many of the groups and I'm subscribed to their youtube channels, I don't actually follow any of them closely enough to call myself fan. Maybe that will change this year, who knows. Like I said in the video, there are a few groups that sounded pretty nice so I'm gonna check their videos and maybe I'll be a fan in the future.
After watching the video I cut down the lists a bit so here's the revised list of the groups I actually know (not just heard the name once)/like/will check out:
Welcome to the first edition of Re:K-Pop where we talk a bit about what has happened in K-Pop over the last week.
There really is only one big topic and that's the unnecessary witch hunt against Twice's Tzuyu. Now if you don't know what's going on, there's plenty sites covering it, so I won't get into details. I'm not a fan of Twice and I couldn't tell you which one Tzuyu is on a picture so I originally didn't care about the topic when it first came up but at this point even I am furious. The nerve of this old fart trying to ruin the life of a child (and by extension the whole company) over politics she might not understand or even thought about yet....it's disgusting and very disturbing.
Apart from this, not much has happened so lets talk comebacks. The Winner comeback Inner Circles have been waiting for since forever is coming closer with the release of Pricked a collab of Mino and Taehyun. I don't know what Winner's style is, as I don't follow them but this song actually sounds really nice. Rookies G-Friend who just celebrated their first year anniversary are also close to coming back, they've already released teaser pictures and the tracklist for their 3rd mini album 'Snowflake' on their official twitter. I'm very much looking forward to that one. Next we have 4minute who have postponed their comeback for this month to February which isn't that far away so it's okay. They've apparently teamed up with Skrillex for this one so let's see how that works out. I do like some of his stuff so this should be interesting. Another February comeback will be Rainbow which is way overdue, their last comeback didn't even feel like a comeback with promotions of barely 2 weeks. Let's hope they hit daebak this time.

Welcome to our second part of Who are you ?! This week I am going to introduceJJCCto you.
JJCC debuted on March 14, 2014 with five members : Eddy, Simba, Prince Mak, E.co and San-Cheong. This group is Jackie Chan's first K-Pop group and they were formed under Jackie Chan Group Korea. Their debut single "At First" was released on March 24. While they were promoting "Where You At" the two new members Zica and Yul joined the group.
Their first mini Album "JJCC" was released on August 21, 2014 , which was followed by their second mini album "Ackmong" exactly one year later on August 21, 2015.
2015 is coming to an end and what a year it was. After some technical difficulties and personal problems I'm finally back with my favorite songs of December. As always, songs are in order of release dates and ranking is my personal opinion, don't forget to vote your favorite songs at the end.
Between Daddy and Napal Baji I'm pretty sure most people only like/listen to Daddy. I understand, it's a fun song but there's just something about Napal Baji that makes it sooo much better to me, even tho I listen to Daddy quite a lot, it's not the same quality as Napal Baji to me. Maybe it's the pants
Name: Run Away Artist: Royal Pirates Released: Dec. 1 Rating: 9/10
What can I say, this song is so great, just so so great! I'll be honest, I don't know nearly as much as I could about the boys, I just really enjoy their music and you should definitely check them out if you haven't done so yet.
Name: Eureka Artist: Zico feat. Zion T Released: Dec. 7 Rating: 8/10
This is one of those songs that you listen to once and it's stuck in your head for the rest of eternity. It's so great! Zico is easily one of the best idol rappers and Zion T has one of the best voices i can think of, the beat is sick, the video is so much fun, there was no way this would go wrong. I hope people bring back saying "eureka"
Name: All Artist: Basterd Released: Dec. 10 Rating: 8.5/10
If you don't know Basterd yet, that's totally fine. Just as long as you go check them out right now. They're really cool and I'm still mad bc they came to Germany before I knew about them and I missed it by like 2 weeks T__T They're a Hip Hop Duo and the Song/MV is more on the rough side but please don't judge them on that alone, I mean just watch this dance practice
Name: Gangstagram Artist: Crispi Crunch & DJ DKHT Released: Dec 23 Rating: 9.5/10
Man I love Crispi Crunch! This song goes hard, I mean really hard. I could totally party to it, I really want to and one day I will see the boys live, and if i have to walk to Korea. CSP's rap is awesome, I've been in love with his voice since....I don't even know. Cheezy is one of my fave people, he's just such a cool person, I wish we could be friends. The only reason this didn't get 10/10 from me is bc I wish the song was longer. You NEED to check out Crispi Crunch if you haven't. GO DO IT NOW!
So now on to you, which release did you like best, did your fave make the list? Vote below
